Models can be copied into another database, or moved from one database to another. Copying or moving a model pastes the model's semantic layer (not the schema) into the target destination.
To copy or move a model, go to the Source Manager and select the database where the relevant model is currently located. Under the Models tab, you'll see a list of data models located in the selected database.
From the Actions column, you can copy (blue arrow below) or move (yellow arrow below) the model.
The target destination must have the same structure as the data model being copied or moved to it.
Copy Model
Open the Copy Model dialog to copy the model to another database. This allows you to store the same semantic model on multiple databases.
Move Model
Open the Move Model dialog to remove the semantic model from the current database and move it into another one.
